Slow Cow
So a buddy of mine introduced me to a new drink known as Slow Cow. It brands itself as “The Anti-Energy Drink.” In addition to that, it somewhat mocks the Red Bull logo. Instead of having two Red Bulls charging one another in front of a big dot, this one has a sleeping cow in front of a big dot. Apparently, Slow Cow is designed to keep you focused without the jitters of caffeine. But they also have a warning label indicating to exercise with caution if operating heavy machinery or other motor vehicles or involved in activities requiring mental alertness within 2 hours of consumption.
So just to be safe, I drank the can before going to bed. And I will admit: I felt calmer. Not only that, it had a nice pleasing flavor to it. It was a light crisp citrus flavor, which is, of course, common in energy drinks. But unlike energy drinks, this one allowed me to have a nice sleep. So if you’re looking at trying something different, Slow Cow is a good drink to go with…but wait until you get home to have it.
