NOS Electric Cherry

So a little while back, NOS Energy released two new flavors in Canada: Electric Cherry and Charged Lime. Today’s review is about Electric Cherry. There is a version in the US called “Loaded Cherry,” which is a black cherry flavored drink, but loaded, pardon the expression, with high fructose corn syrup. Electric Cherry tastes just like regular cherry, which you can’t really screw up, has no high fructose corn syrup and is only 20 calories. That’s right, only 20 calories! But it still has the patented ass-kicking power NOS always has with 194 mg of caffeine, which should get anyone through the day. NOS always puts out great flavors, but this one is definitely my favorite so far! Keep up the good work, NOS! Next review: NOS Charged Lime.

TapouT Energy Cherry Citrus

So TapouT, the same company who brought you kick-ass gear for mixed martial arts, has released a line of energy drinks in Canada only. Sorry to my American friends: You’ll have to wait, but from what I have tasted thus far, it will be worth it!

The first flavor I will be reviewing is their cherry citrus flavor. I was expecting it to be just like a citrus energy drink with a hint of cherry, but no. Instead, it was cherry with a hint of lime. I’ll admit it tasted just like Xenergy’s Cherry Lime/Cherry Rush flavor, but certainly delicious. I’d have to say it was so good, it would have made TapouT co-founder Charles “Mask” Lewis very proud. Sadly, “Mask” will never have the chance to down any of TapouT’s energy drinks, as he tragically passed away two years ago. But I’m sure he is looking down and beaming, knowing I gave a drink from his company a great review.

So be sure to pick up a can of Tapout Energy Cherry Citrus. I will have reviews for their Cranberry Orange and Peach Mango flavors shortly.

NOS Loaded Cherry

More and more companies who make energy drinks are releasing cherry flavored beverages, which is great. NOS has finally out with their rendition called “Loaded Cherry.” It does indicate it is cherry flavored with other natural flavors on the can. In fact, it tasted very close to Cherry Coke. Not a bad thing, but that’s what I noticed. I would say it was more so black cherry instead of regular cherry. Only one downside: NOS Loaded Cherry contains high fructose corn syrup, so enjoy sparingly.
