Rockstar Recovery Orange

Posted in Reviews with tags , , , , on 05/13/2011 by Brett

First of all: Happy Friday the 13th! Hopefully no one has any bad luck today.

Anyway, as you recall: I reviewed Rockstar Recovery Grape back on Wednesday. Today, I will be reviewing the orange flavor.

Just like grape, it really takes a lot to screw up orange. Rockstar again made a good flavor. It smells and tastes like orange. It doesn’t have the “Like biting into an orange” kind of flavor, but certainly a pleasing flavor to keep you coming back for more. The one thing I like about the Rockstar Recovery line is they make it as if it is Gatorade, but with caffeine and without glucose-fructose, which isn’t good for you. And just like the lemonade and grape flavors, I felt this one working right away.

So if you need that quick boost in the morning or just want to try something different, Rockstar Recover Orange will certainly help. Now if they can just come out with say a blueberry or raspberry flavor. Just a thought.

TapouT Energy Cranberry Orange

Posted in Reviews with tags , , , on 01/31/2011 by Brett

Today’s review is about TapouT Energy’s Cranberry Orange flavor. And it tastes exactly as it states. In fact, I would say it tastes just like Red Rain’s Cran Orange, but without the sugar. That’s another thing I like about TapouT Energy: Zero sugar, just like Xenergy.

TapouT Energy Cranberry Orange is red in appearance and while you notice the orange flavor, the cranberry overshadows the orange. So if you like your drinks sweet and tart, this is one to go for. “Mask” would have been proud.

Also check out www.tapoutenergy.ca. Wednesday’s review will be about TapouT Energy Peach Mango. Stay tuned!

Xenergy Orange Fuel

Posted in Reviews with tags , , , on 01/10/2011 by Brett

I want to apologize again for the long layoff. I have been searching long and hard for new flavors to review. At least they would be new to me. So enjoy.

Recently, I was down in the US and was looking for energy drinks I have not yet tried. Xenergy Orange Fuel being one of them. This is the only flavor in the Xenergy line-up I have not yet tried, mainly because I still haven’t found it in Canada. I was expecting it to taste like orange, but it didn’t. Don’t get me wrong: I loved the taste. It mirrors Xenergy’s Mango Guava flavor, which I posted a positive review about some time ago. The difference is Orange Fuel is a part of Xenergy’s Xtreme line-up, whereas Mango Guava is in their Premium line-up.

Don’t mistake me at all: I love Xenergy, no matter what flavor they throw at you. But they need to stop copycatting flavors they have already distributed. For example: How about a grape flavor? I’d say that would be pretty slamming, because I don’t know of any company that can screw up grape. Just a thought.

Rockstar Juiced Mango Orange Passionfruit

Posted in Reviews with tags , , , , on 04/18/2010 by Brett

This is another Rockstar product I have had previously to starting this blog, but had never reviewed it before. It was actually the first of Rockstar’s energy juices to become available in Canada. And like Rockstar Juiced Pomegranate, Mango Orange Passionfruit has 50% juice! But for some reason, compared to when it came onto the market three years ago, it tastes much different…but in a good way! It’s actually much better than I remembered! It seems to have a much crisper flavor than it had before, just like the Guava flavor. The aftertaste is also quite pleasant now. I’m actually glad I picked up a 4-Pack that was on sale this week! Now I have three more to savor!

AMP Energy Re-Ignite

Posted in Reviews with tags , , , on 04/16/2010 by Brett

I made a joke to my American readers yesterday reminding them it was their tax day yesterday. Hopefully, all of my friends south of the 49th filed their taxes on time. But to my Canadian readers: Don’t forget your returns have to be in two weeks from now! I’m done mine, so I’m not worried!

Anyway, onto today’s review. Yesterday, I picked up AMP Energy Re-Ignite, as I have never had it before. It is orange flavored, which is a rare flavor for energy drinks. You see citrus flavored, but hardly just orange. AMP Energy Re-Ignite tastes just like orange soda, but it has your B Vitamins, taurine, ginseng and electrolytes. AMP Energy Re-Ignite indicates its purpose is to restore alertness. Well, they are 100% accurate about that! Not that I needed it entirely, but it always helps. Plus it tastes good!

AMP Energy Juice Orange

So AMP Energy has released a new product: Energy Juice! This is not a new concept in the US though. I had reviewed another energy juice on here around Christmas time. But when I tried AMP Energy Juice, WOW! The slogan for AMP Energy Juice is “Consider This Your Wake Up Call.” And while I may not have consumed this juice in the morning, it certainly awakened me and kept me going throughout the day. Great stuff! It even contains 100% of your daily value of Vitamin C, as well as 150% of your daily value of Niacin (Vitamin B3), Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12 and Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5). And best of all: 100% real juice! There is no sugar added, so any sugars already in AMP Energy Juice are naturally occurring! Go ahead and give it a try today!
