Xenergy Melon Mayhem

Posted in Reviews with tags , , , on 01/11/2013 by Brett

026Welcome to the third and final day of Xenergy Review Week. Today, we review the other new flavor from Xenergy: Melon Mayhem.

When I heard Melon Mayhem was on the market, I was eager to try it. Not many companies have ever gone with a melon flavored drink, so I guess you could say Xyience, the parent company of Xenergy, was taking a gamble. And how fitting, since they are based out of Las Vegas (Sorry, lame joke). Moving on.

I cracked open a can of Melon Mayhem on Christmas Day. No, I am not making that up. I knew it would be a full day playing with my eight month-old niece, knowing she had a number of gifts coming her way that she would love to play with. But I also wanted to know how it tasted. And I must say I was not disappointed. Melon Mayhem tastes just like watermelon, except you don’t have to worry about biting into any seeds (or possibly choking on them) plus there is no rind you have to worry about cutting out. Just a great drink all around.

So go ahead and sink your teeth, er, crack open a can of Melon Mayhem today. Also, please check out the Xyience website!

Xenergy Tangerine Twister

Posted in Reviews with tags , , , on 01/09/2013 by Brett

025Welcome to Day Two of Xenergy Review Week. Today, we review one of Xenergy’s newest flavors: Tangerine Twister.

A few months ago, Xyience, the company that manufactures Xenergy, removed Cherry Rush and Orange Fuel from their line-up and added Tangerine Twister and Melon Mayhem (To be reviewed on Friday). For the record: I have still seen Cherry Rush in Canada and even Orange Rush is still being sold in the US. But onto Tangerine Twister. I have to say it is a very unique flavor. And I mean that in a good way. I could tell there was a tangerine flavor in there, but it also tasted like there was a little vanilla as well. I know a number of you will find it strange to combine those two flavors, but I felt they complimented each other, just like Xenergy’s Blu Pomegranate flavor (formerly Blu Pom) and their flagship flavor, Cran Razz, which is still on the market.

So I say give Tangerine Twister a shot. It may not be for everyone, but you never know until you try. Also, please check out the Xyience website! Friday’s review: Melon Mayhem!

Xenergy Frostberry Blast

Posted in Reviews with tags , , , on 01/07/2013 by Brett

So I finally tried the three flavors Xenergy offers in the US that are currently not sold in Canada. So this week is all about reviewing Xenergy. Today, we begin with Frostberry Blast.

A while back, Xyience, the company that makes Xenergy, had a picture of MMA legend Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva on the can. There may still be some cans with Mr. Silva on them, but I happened to pick up a can that didn’t have him on there. Still, if you find a can with “The Axe Murderer” on it, I recommend picking it up as a collector’s item. You never know. It might be worth something one day.

Now onto the drink itself: Since Xenergy removed Cherry Rush and Orange Fuel from their Xtreme line-up (black can), that only leaves Fruit Punch and Frostberry Blast as part of the Xtreme line-up. Frostberry Blast appears as a clear drink, but like all other flavors I have tried in Xenergy’s line-up, it is very flavorful. Frostberry Blast tastes like a blue raspberry, which is a good thing. Xyience was the first company I know of before Gamma Labs to bring in this kind of flavor for energy drinks. Very delicious!

So if you are looking for an energy drink with a different flavor (in a good way), this is the one. But I will be reviewing the two newest flavors for Xenergy this week. Also, please check out the Xyience website! Wednesday’s review: Tangerine Twister!

New Flavor From Xenergy!

Posted in Industry News with tags , , , , , on 10/06/2011 by Brett

In case you haven’t been on the Xyience website or Facebook page lately, Xyience, the manufacturer of Xenergy, the official energy drink of the UFC, has released a new flavor as part of their Xtreme (black can) lineup: Frostberry Blast! The can also features MMA Legend and current UFC fighter Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva on the can. Due to the recent success of Xenergy’s Fruit Punch flavor with another UFC fighter, Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy, on the can, Xyience looks as if they wanted to use their marketing prowess again with one of the best MMA fighters in the last decade with “The Axe Murderer.”

Frostberry Blast also replaces Citrus Slam, which was reviewed on this blog a long time ago. Frostberry Blast should now be at a store near you. If not, let’s hope it will be soon. I know I am looking forward to reviewing it myself!

Xenergy to release new flavor

Posted in Industry News with tags , , , on 01/27/2011 by Brett

I was perusing through the web and just for laughs, I went to Xyience’s website. After all, Xyience is the company that created and distributes Xenergy. I noticed the Lemon Blast flavor is no longer in the Xtreme (black can) line-up and that a new flavor will be released soon. Tried looking through the website to see when the new flavor will be out, but there was nothing to be found. At any rate, once I find out, I will keep you all posted. Hopefully, they followed my suggestion from a while back and went with a grape flavor. But we will wait and see.

Don’t forget: Please check out www.xyience.com for other Xyience and Xenergy products.
