Red Rain Acai-Blu

The other day, I was out looking for a different kind of energy drink and have always tried finding a kind that had acai as a flavor. Well, I found Red Rain Acai-Blu. In case you’re wondering, acai (pronounce ah-sah-ee) is a type of berry found in Brazil that has recently been used to cleanse the digestive system and apparently has a very pleasing taste. For more information on the health benefits of the acai berry, please check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acai.

Now the reason you all came here in the first place: Red Rain Acai-Blu, which combines the flavors of the aforementioned acai berry and blueberry. Opened the can right away and discovered an intoxicating aroma. Took a sip and was rather impressed with how both flavors complimented each other. Had a combination of sweet and tart at the same time. Very nice!

Red Rain Acai-Blu only comes in a 4-Pack for $4.94 CDN, which is $4.72 US (as of December 1, 2009, $1 CDN = $0.9554 US). Found the Acai-Blu and Cran-Orange, which I will review tomorrow, at Wal-Mart. Very affordable drink at a great price! Even if I found it somewhere else for more, I’m sure it would be less expensive than a 16 fl. oz can of any other brand of energy drink.
